Jet Set Go of the Jumbo Jet Stables took off with the feature C class event and the coveted
$1.2M top prize and Banks DIH trophy in another major upset in the Norman Singh Memorial Turf Club in collaboration with the Shariff Racing Stable one day horserace meet last Sunday at the No 6, Bel Air West Coast Berbice Track.
The Stable has been turning in very good performances of recent and maintained that tradition last weekend. They expressed pleasure at the recent showing of their horses and credits the hard work of all associated.
Imported from the United States, Jet Set Go ridden by Trinidadian Jockey A. Padmore for the second time chalked up its second win in as many starts to remain unbeaten since coming to Guyana a few months ago from a fast finishing Message of the Elcock stable, ridden by Daniel Floris.
The stable scored another important victory in the E and F Class race last Sunday when Got to Go with Drepaul on the perch went all the way to win the $600,000 purse from Majestic, Dubai Duchess and Marathon Man in the 1100M race.
They claimed the 2 yrs old West Indies bred event with Serenity when Drepaul again in control over took Seattle of the Shariff Stable down the homestretch, with Red Cloud and Rock Sonna finishing third and fourth. The win was worth $400,000 over 1100M.
Jumbo Jet Stable claimed the G class 1100M event as Navin Alli guided Top of the Line ahead of Work Force, Appealing Harvest and Prado’s Gold, taking the $250,000 and trophy at stake.
Jumbo Jet stable was adjudged the top stable, their Trainers Sham ‘Short man’ Chattergoon and D. ‘Blacks’ Ramroop were adjudged top trainers.
