Dear Editor
I write this letter to register my disgust at what is transpiring in this beautiful country, Guyana. If one were to take a conscious look at what is going on now after nineteen years of PPP rule it sickens one’s stomach to see the blatant rape of this country.
The heads of Governments of other countries must think Guyanese are foolish to allow the asininity to continue here. In this twenty first century they are telling people they are building roads, schools, state of the art hospital, the ugly Berbice River Bridge and so much more that is a government’s obligation.
It was the PNC Government that built such highways as the Soesdyke/Linden and the Corentyne, all this Government have had to do is maintain them. Look at the historic building that was once the New Amsterdam Hospital. What has become of it today? Ask the PPP Government.
All they want to do is break down (like Robeson Benn) what was done in the PNC era and spend taxpayers’ money wastefully to give the impression of development.
The PPP cabal is shivering in their boots and rightly they should because at all cost they are desperately trying to hold on to power.
They are renting crowds by paying people to attend their rallies and even doing so by trucking them there and by paying large sums of money to attend their meetings.
That party even proposes to pay as much as $100,000 to collect people’s ID card to prevent them from voting. People are talking.
Jagdeo wants to collect $3 million per month pension when old age pensioners are only entitled to $7,500 per month. What a shame?
Crime has risen so much like no other time in our country’s history, and it has had to be so because the Champion of the Earth has publicly said that he is not lynching any of his Ministers for their misdeeds, no matter the crime.
I leave you readers with this to ponder. Choose a better life for yourself and family under the APNU administration or be condemned to eternal damnation under the Jagdeo PPP worse yet under Ramotar.
Faith Vancooten
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
