Four bids were opened yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) for the installation of Geotextile tubes along the foreshore at Victoria, East Coast Demerara, under the National Agriculture Research and Extension Institute (NAREI).
It is noteworthy that the engineer’s estimate of $77,720,000 exceeds the highest bid by some $32M. The bids submitted:

NPTAB also received and opened bids for a National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) project – the construction of the Jagan Crossing Aqueduct across Nootenzuil Middle Walk, East Coast Demerara. The engineer’s estimate is $8,196,000 and the bids:

There were three bids for the installation of fibre optic cable from Lethem to the Providence repeater station under the procuring entity, Ministry of Public Works and Communication, were also opened.
With engineer’s estimates of $13,140,550 for Lot (1) and $7,820,000 for Lot (2) the bids submitted were:
