The police are investigating a vehicular accident, which left two of its own nursing wounds in the Male Surgical Ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
Last Wednesday evening, policemen, Carlson Europe, 20 and Oral Venture, 22 were on a motorcycle when they were struck down by a motorcar at the junction of Middle and Carmichael Streets.
The right legs of both policemen are fractured, while they have minor injuries about their bodies. When this publication visited the ranks at the hospital yesterday, Europe, who was the rider, complained of severe pains about his back and shoulder, while Venture, the pillion rider, was in high spirits.
The men are unsure as to when they will be released from GPHC.
According to Europe, the driver of the motorcar is in police custody but they have not yet determined which of the two parties erred.
