Daredevil Trevon George executed four clean sweeps at the North Zone Inter-school Championships
yesterday at Eve Leary ground.
George won the 800m at last year’s National School Track and Field Championship and left no room for his opponents in the 200,400,800 and 1500m races.
Shomaine Daniels also claimed a sprint triple (100m, 200m and 400m) in the girls U-18 category at the championships, while Tisha Grimes and Javanna Langford of Guyana Technical Institute won the 400m,800m and 1500m; and 100m and 200m in the open girls category respectively.
Emmanuel Cordis dominated in the U-12 group as usual, to take the 400m and 800m.
Guyana’s IV Commonwealth Youth Games athlete, Malcolm Walcott subjugated his rivals in middle distance races.

Meanwhile, Richard Ishmael Secondary School top Zone 1 with 366 points after 42 events in the Inter-school Track Championships. Queen’s College is second with 281 while Marian Academy is third with 231 points.
The Inter-school Track Championship continues tomorrow with Zone 2 competing at Eve Leary ground.
