Guyana’s Marlon Williams in a time of 2 hours 35.01 blitzed the field to capture the fourth stage of this year’s ‘Ride for Life’ Tour of Guyana Road Race which continued from Charity to Supenaam on the Essequibo Coast.
Williams now lies third in the overall standings after coming home ahead of Suriname’s Moses Ricketts.
The overall yellow jersey remains on the back of Team California Jonathan Teeter, who leads Barbados Jamal Eastman, while Williams trails in third with the final stage from Kara Kara on the Linden Highway to Homestretch Avenue set for today.
The remaining positions in the Top Ten are Andy Carr of Team California in fourth followed by Godfrey Pollydore of Guyana, Michael Larsen, Robin Persaud, Leer Nunes, Henner Rodel and Nicholas Sorensen in that order.
