Kunti Persaud was the winner of the monthly draw in the Ashmin’s Home Makeover Promotion. She was awarded a certificate valued up to $500,000, which would be used only to finance the renovation of any room in her house.
The project will be undertaken by one of Guyana’s finest interior designer and fashion experts, Carol Fraser.
The presentation ceremony was held at Ashmin’s on High Street, Werk- en-Rust, Georgetown, yesterday.
The winner was drawn from five finalists in a programme that would afford one lucky winner the chance to redecorate any room of their choice in their home.
The four other finalists were Fazad Ally, Miriam Allen, Coreen Forde and Dehanna Nicholas, each of whom did not walk away empty handed.
There was a preliminary draw held late last month.
A special draw was held for the media representatives as they were given a chance to seek a gold card from an envelope filled with gift vouches.
The reporter representing Kaieteur News won and was awarded the gold card, which will allow her and five other persons of her choice free entry into Splashmin’s Resort all year long.
The Public Relations Officer of Ashmin’s told this newspaper that the company will have a draw at the end of each month, until year end so as to determine the winner of the Christmas Season.
