Survival Super Market has made a donation to the Georgetown Chest Clinic. The presentation was done at the supermarket’s Sheriff’s Street location in Georgetown.
The donation consisted of 100 packets of soups, which were received by Dr. Jeetendra Mohanlall, the programme Manager of the National Tuberculosis Programme.
According to Mohanlall, the donation is the beginning of a new partnership with the supermarket and the Georgetown Chest Clinic which is located in the Georgetown Public Hospital Compound.
He noted that the contribution is beneficial since it can come in handy when or if there is a shortage of meal supplies.
Mohanlall further said that he expects more private sector agencies to come on board and assist the less fortunate.
The supervisor of the supermarket, Bibi Fletchman, said that the supermarket is always willing to help and will continue supporting the Chest Clinic.
