The event, which was sponsored by Digicel, Andre Howard
Construction Services, Roraima Airways Inc., Kashif and Shanghai Organization, Guyana Telephone and Telegraph, Trophy Stall and BK International Inc., saw Letizia Nichols-Rudder illumination in the Ministry of Home Affairs 2011 Annual September Games Presentation Ceremony yesterday at Home Affairs Compound, Brickdam.
Rudder was awarded the Andre Howard Construction Services trophy after accumulating fifteen points in the Queen Dominoes Competition. The Queen, returned to take the spot-light in the Champion of Champion Dominoes Competition ahead of Anthony Niles, who recorded the most sixes and Khain Singh.
The Roraima Airways Inc. trophy was given to Arthur Beveny, the King of Dominoes Competition. Beveny amassed 15 points in the competition, leaving Singh to take the runner-up position ahead of Niles.
Police dominated in the Digicel’s Inter-Agencies Mixed Dominoes Competition. Richard Henry was honoured as the Most Value Player of that competition as Prison Service came second and Fire third.
The five a-side football competition saw Police prevailing to arrest the Kashif and Shanghai trophy, while the Home Affairs teams walked away with the GT&T Table Tennis trophy.
The Cricket competition will be held in October to conclude the Annual September Games due to the unavailability of grounds presently.
