Trophy Stall WDFA U-17 League
Den Amstel maintained their unbeaten run in the inaugural Trophy Stall / West Demerara Football Association Under-17 league when they chalked up their third win in as many matches recently at the Den Amstel Community Centre Ground, West Coast Demerara.
Led by a brace from Andre Hector (45 & 49), the home team handed Stewartville their second loss in four matches winning 3-0. The other goal scored by Akeem Hector in the 14th minute.
Uitvlugt recorded only their second win in three matches in the process orchestrating the first defeat for Seawall FC in nail biting fashion, 4-3.
Leading Uitvlugt were Delon Lanferman with a double (36 & 70), Marlon Brandis in the 9th, Jamal Harvey set the tone for the win with his 6th minute goal.
Young Achievers did not show up for their scheduled game against the other team from Stewartville, Eagles handing them 3 easy points to take their tally to 9 points the same as Seawall FC and Den Amstel, the latter enjoying a better goal difference. Games will continue this Saturday and Sunday at the same venue.
