Chemicals, field supplies for GLDA attract two foreign bids

Four bids, including two US-dollar submissions from foreign companies, were opened yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Board (NPTAB), for the supply, delivery and testing of field supplies and chemicals for Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA)’s eradication campaign (tuberculosis, brucellosis and rabies).
This project falls under the Ministry of Agriculture Sector Development Unit and the bids submitted were:

John Gram-Hanssen of Denmark US$999,258.84

Meanwhile, two bids were submitted for the procurement of a breast milk substitute for the Ministry of Health.

Another project for the Ministry of Agriculture was submitted for the construction of a control structure at West Watooka, Region 10, under the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA).
The engineer’s estimate is $18,968,680. The bids are:

With an engineer’s estimate of $2,325,000 the NPTAB received and opened bids for the rehabilitation of a dormitory at Sophia Training Centre. This project falls under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport. The bids submitted:

Bids were also submitted for the repairs to the concrete pavement and gutters in the compound of the public building of the National Assembly of Parliament. The engineer’s estimate for the project is $1,913,445.The bids are:

A lone bid was submitted for the rehabilitation of Baramita Police Station, Phase 2, in region one, under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The engineer’s estimate for the project is $8,512,664.
