Sammy 6 wins Manny ‘Packer’ Shew Domino tourney
Team Sammy comprising of Edmund Sammy, Theo Bascom, Hilbert Alli, Terrence Damon, Maniram Shew and Rondell Charles took top honours on Wednesday last when domino enthusiast Maniram ‘Packer’ Shew brought together International 6, Barbados, Strikers and Wild Bunch players to have a mixed team domino match at Strikers Sports Club.
The winning captain of S6, Edmund Sammy receives the winning trophy from sponsor Maniram ‘Packer’ Shew while team members and supporters looks on approvingly.
The eighteen members were placed in a bag and were picked out at random as the three captains namely Edmund Sammy (S6), Intikab Alli (A6) and Kirton (K6) spearheaded their members under their charge.
The members of the teams for A6 were Intikab Ali, Michael Brown, Gairy Jansen, Charles Dobson, Noel Ramchurejee and Shawn Trotman while the members of K6 comprised of Anthony Kirton, Ron Callender, Cathie Rollins, Martin Permaul, David Patterson and Navin Samaroo.
The recipients of medals were Terrence Damon with the maximum 18 games, Intikab Ali also with the maximum 18 games and Anthony Kirton.
There were two lovebirds as Bajans’ Cathy ‘Worked Up’ Rollins and Theo ‘Super Cool’ Bascombe were both taken for a stroll down lover’s lane.
