The Neal & Massy Schools Rugby Tournament kicks off at the National Park Rugby Ground this morning at 9:00am, with eight schools contesting for honours in the Under 14 and Under16 Boys age grades.
The Under 14 Age Grade competition will be contested in two Groups leading to a Semifinal and Final round and will feature Uitvlugt, St John’s College, Tutorial High, Convent Garden, Marion Academy, Stewartville, Dolphin Secondary and North Georgetown.
The Under 16 competition will be contested between Marion Academy, Convent Garden, St. John’s, North Georgetown and a Development Team drawn from participants in the Rugby Community Programme.
The Tournament will be conducted by the Union’s Youth Development Officers Troy Yhip, Latif Lasimba, Sabola Gray and National Coach Theodore Henry, assisted by Boost Coaches Joe Sandiford and Katie Wallis and supported by members of the National Sevens Rugby Squad currently in training for the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, 29-30 October and the NACRA Men’s and Women’s Sevens Championship in Barbados, 12-13 November.
