In recent days, an utterly immoral and malevolent campaign has been launched by the government and their cronies against the publisher of this newspaper. This attack is based in wholesale lies and fabrications. It is for example being falsely and maliciously reported that the publisher of this newspaper had fingered persons associated with the drug trade. This lie and misrepresentation is intended to invite retaliation against the publisher, Mr. Glenn Lall and constitutes state-terrorism.
The falsehoods being pedaled form part of the ongoing war being waged to shut this newspaper down because of its exposure of the massive corruption within the government.
Kaieteur News understands fully the plans that are being employed to silence this newspaper. We know what is being planned but we shall not be intimidated. We shall not relent in reporting on the many acts of fraud, deceit and malfeasance that are running rampant throughout the government. But we shall hold this government responsible should any harm befall our publisher, Mr. Glenn Lall.
“Before the throne of the Almighty, man will be judged not by his acts but by his intentions. For God alone reads our hearts.”
