Ministry of Home Affairs Annual September Games
The Annual Ministry of Home Affairs September Games activities continued yesterday at the Police Sports Club, Eve Leary when the King and Queen dominos competitions were contested. Bragging rights for the next year as the King and Queen of the sport was at stake along with the Roraima Airways and Andre Howard Construction Services trophies. Medals are also at stake compliments of Payless Get More Store, Regent Street.
Emerging as the best team in the Inter-Agencies mixed domino competition which was held previously also at Police Sports Club, Eve Leary, was the Guyana Police Force which amassed 78 games defeating by the slimmest of margins, the Guyana Fire Service one game back while the Guyana Prison Service was left in the cellar position on 75 games in what has been described as a very close and exciting competition.
Leading the champion team was Richard Henry who marked the maximum 18 games. For their efforts, Police was presented with the Digicel trophy and medals.
The final of the cricket competition is set for Sunday September 25.
