The Guyana Defence Force rank who was involved in a fracas with local announcer Narissa Pearson a few weeks ago, has found himself in hot water after he allegedly spat on a police officer.
This newspaper understands that Second Lieutenant Denzil Mingo was involved in a physical altercation with several police ranks on Friday night. The incident happened at a popular Hadfield and John Streets restaurant.
Kaieteur News was told that Mingo should have actually been in New Amsterdam where he is a base commander for one of the army bases. He left the location without knowledge of the army.
Several weeks ago the rank had assaulted Pearson, but nothing ever came out of the incident.
Efforts yesterday to contact any army official proved futile.
