Hemraj named stand-by
Trinidadians Emmanuel Lett and Akeal Hosein are the new comers in a 15-man West Indies Under-19 squad which includes Guyanese Amir Khan and Ronsford Beaton for the quadrangular series in India.
Test batsman Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the side which includes 12 of the 14 members who were on the last West Indies Under-19 tour to Florida. The players who toured Florida who have missed out on the India tour are Kieron Joseph of Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaican Ramon Senior.
West Indies will play against hosts India, Sri Lanka and Australia and their first match is against Sri Lanka on September 27.
Guyanese Chanderpaul Hemraj was among 19 players invited to a training camp in Barbados following last month’s WICB U-19 Tournament in Guyana. Four of them including Hemraj did not make the final touring squad.
