In second round action that was contested on Wednesday evening, action got started with Beacon United claiming three points after gaining a walkover from the University of Guyana and that was before Santos defeated the Guyana Police Force (GPF) 3-0, while and the night ended with Flamingo and Sunburst Camptown battling to a 2-2 stalemate.
The feature match had Flamingo drawing first blood as early as the fifth minute when A. McPhoy scored to keep his team ahead by half time.
Two minutes into the second half J. Greaves netted the equalizer, but Camptown found themselves trailing once again when A. Roberts scored for Flamingo in the 65th minute.
Five minutes later J. Codrington found the second equalizer for Camptown which balanced the match until the regulation time whistle sounded.
In the Santos/GPF match up, three quick goals in the 15th, 17th and 19th minutes by Ryan Seals, Jermain Bamfield and Lerone Charles respectively was enough to put the opposition out of contention for the win.
