Kares Engineering/Bushy Park Sawmills
T10 Tapeball Cricket Competition
While most cricket pundits will be mulling a ‘Pitbulls vs. Albion’ dream final in the nation-wide Kares Engineering and Bushy Park Sawmills T10 Tapeball Cricket Competition, the West Coast of Demerara-based, Invaders XI stand mightily in their way.
The Invaders XI reached the penultimate round of the competition that will be played on Sunday at the National Stadium before the Grand Finale on the same day with an impressive quarterfinal win against their rivals, the East Bank-based, Firelinks team.
Their road to the deciding rounds of the competition has been extraordinary and now they’re just one win away from walking away with at least half of a million dollars. The senior male winners of the competition will get $1M and the runners-up, $500,000.
Kaieteur Sport introduces the Invaders XI that will hope to invade the National Stadium with its usual impressive supporters from the West Coast of Demerara. The task ahead is mammoth, but the team is confident of continuing to do well in the competition.
