Dear Editor,
It is indeed sad to learn of the recent plane crash in Guyana which affected so many people in different ways. We are indeed fortunate to be able to talk about survivors after looking at the photos of this tragic accident. Thanks and praise must be given to the Almighty.
This accident has now brought beautiful Guyana once again under the spotlight. I am delighted to learn that the investigation has been launched by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority to determine the cause of the accident, in collaboration with the Caribbean Aviation Safety Oversight System (CASSOS), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Boeing, the manufacturer of the aircraft. We now await the thorough investigation to be completed and report submitted.
To my family and friends, this accident should not discourage you from returning to beautiful Guyana. It this time of the year when we enjoy the summer vacations.
