The People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) has expressed strong condemnation against the individual(s) who hacked into the party’s Facebook page sometime yesterday morning.
The party immediately issued a press release to all media outlets, in an effort to reach its followers on the popular social networking site. “Our IT Technicians are currently working to recover from the cyber attack and we wish to apologize to our many followers who use this as a medium to interact with the PPP/C and also as a source of information regarding the activities of the party. Already measures have been put in place to guard against similar attacks to other PPP/C sites on the internet.
“While the party has not ascertained who exactly is responsible for this intrusion it wishes to express its strong condemnation against such actions,” the statement concluded.
