The Guyana Amateur Body Building & Fitness Federation will host its senior Mr. and Ms. Guyana competition on July 31 at Theatre Guild, Parade Street, Kingston from16:00hrs.
According to a release from the federation, ccategory winners will be selected to form a team of athletes who will represent Guyana at the annual Central American and Caribbean Championships set for El Salvador from September 23 – 25, 2011.
Athletes will receive trophies, hampers, gifts and cash prizes which have been donated by sponsors. The day’s activities will also include a bar-b-que and fish fry on the Lawns of the Theatre Guild, starting from 12:00hrs. There will be exhibitions mounted by the major sponsors and entertainment for the kids.
The following categories will be contested: Men’s under 143 lbs, Men’s under 154 lbs, Men’s under 165 lbs, Men’s under 176 lbs, Men’s 177 lbs and over, Men’s Masters, Men’s Under-21 years-old, Ms. Physique Open, Ms. Fitness Open, Ms. Body Fitness Open.
Athletes wishing to compete can contact the following persons for registration – President Fiona Harris (627 6264), Vice President Mark Seymour (644 3312), Secretary (Nalini McKoy 684 5464) or Treasurer Devon Wray (665 7649) or the federations representative at Olympic House, High Street Kingston. Registration will end on July 23.
