Dear Editor,
As a regular reader of your newspaper, I came across an interesting article in your Sunday (26/06/11) issue “Parliamentary Committee finds Frauds in Government entities”.
I became very interested in the article as I read it. You would recall, as you followed this story that I’m writing about, the alleged Region Four “multi million dollar fraud” which resulted in a wanted bulletin being issued for the Regional Executive Officer, who was subsequently detained by police for the stipulated 72 hours and placed on bail.
We are still waiting one year after to hear about this “fraud”.
Since the wanted bulletin was placed on the front pages of all the daily newspapers, it must have indeed been a multi million dollar fraud, because even in murder cases this doesn’t usually happen.
Now, according to your article the Parliamentary committee that went through theAuditor General’s report has found “frauds in gov’t agencies”.
Would the police be called in to investigate and would these officials in charge be taken into police custody?
I’m waiting to see the equality that exists in our democratic country.
