The confirmation of Local Government Minister Kellawan Lall as Ambassador to Brasilia is dependent on the Government of Brazil which is yet to respond, according to Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon, at his post Cabinet briefing yesterday.
An Agrément was submitted to the Brazilian government however, there has been no confirmation to date, Luncheon confirmed.
Minister Lall was named to succeed previous Ambassador to Brazil, Harry Narine Nawbatt. He is yet to take up the position as Guyana’s Ambassador to Brazil. Lall’s current office was touted to be filled by Parliamentarian, Norman Whittaker.
