The second leg of the Tradewind Tankers Volleyball Tournament organised by the Castrol Strikers will serve off this Saturday, July 02, at the Port Mourant Training Centre beginning at 09.30 hrs.
This leg of the tournament will be the continuation of competition in the sixes format to determine the top teams in the preliminary rounds.
Teams will play those they’ve not played in the first leg and aggregate points’ method will determine the overall winner.
Two teams will be eliminated from this round leaving six teams moving into the next round which will feature the fours and twos format. The top two teams will receive $20,000 and $10,000 dollars.
With the Port Mourant Training Centre featuring two courts, it is expected that games will run smoothly and enable an efficiently run day.
The leading point getters coming out of the first leg are Young Achievers 87, Port Mourant Training Centre 77, and Castrol Strikers 70.
Games will be played – one set to 30 points.
The aggregate points system challenges team to also ensure they lose well.
