Four games are scheduled to be played this Saturday when semi-final action in the inaugural Scotiabank / Pepsi School Football Academy commences, at the Carifesta Avenue Sports Complex Ground.
In Game 1, starting at 08:30 hrs, Tucville Secondary which won one game after defeating Queen’s College 4 nil tackles East Ruimveldt Secondary and they will be led by National U-16 Netball player Tasnica Lovell who scored twice in that game, while Assana Mc Anman and Tandica La Rose will act as the supporting cast.
East Ruimveldt, who also had a 4-0 win against Tutorial will be led by Mariam Roach who has so far netted two goals in the competition and she is expected to be supported by the likes of Jamia Alexander, Felisha Sears, Goalkeeper Shonette Gaspar and Towayne Parris.
Tucville did not turn up for their game against Lodge who incidentally also failed to show for their last game.
In Game 2 which commences 09:45 hrs, unbeaten North Georgetown engages Queen’s College.
North Georgetown will be led by the aggressive and diminutive Althea Holligan, who has scored 10 goals in three matches, while Kenisha Stewart, Jenel Brown and Anida Walker are all capable of adding potent support.
Queen’s College, who registered 1 win will be depending on Kadesh and Kezian Daniels, Abigail Somrah, Georgia Bacchus and Cassandra Rogers.
North Georgetown has scored 14 goals without conceding any and must be considered as the favourites to win the competition.
In Game 3 scheduled for 11:00 hrs, unbeaten Tucville Secondary collides with Lodge Secondary in what is anticipated to produce fierce rivalry.
Tucville which has scored 23 goals to date will be led by Dorwin Fitter, who have 6 goals to date and he will be ably supported by Colin Waterman (2 goals), Vermont Monroe (2 goals), Keifer Brandt (2 goals), Randy Layne (5 goals) and Kevin Andrews (2 goals). Lodge will be led by Nevon Haynes who has scored 4 goals to date, Mike Thorn (2 goals), Kareem Sanmogan, Kareem Johnson and Jamal Gibbs.
In Game 4 scheduled for 12:30 hrs, one of the favourites, and the other unbeaten team in the tournament East Ruimveldt Secondary will bring the curtains down when the clash with the ever improving Christ Church Secondary.
East Ruimveldt will depend heavily on Brandon Boston and Jamal Pedro who both have two goals apiece, Craig Hughes, Azariel Davis and Travil Prepont.
Christ Church challenge will be spearheaded by Kevon Corlette who has netted 2 goals, Carlon Nurse, Nyron Joseph and Travis Fitzpatrick.
The finals are slated for Saturday, June 25, at a venue to be named, commencing with the girls segment at 14:00 hrs to be followed by the boys at 15:30 hrs.
