Dear Editor,
We, the residents of Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara have been plagued with the noise nuisance emanating from a liquor restaurant in our village.
We have made several complaints to the appropriate authorities but to no avail.
Our recent report was recorded on 29th April 2011, prior to the anticipated Children’s Fun Day activities planned.
The music was played beyond the wee hours of the morning and we were totally devastated with the loudness of the sound. As recorded in the newspaper, whereby music at different locations, especially at the Seawall where children would have been enjoying themselves in the Easter spirit, music was arbitrary stopped at around 19:45 hours.
We feel that there is total disrespect for our sanity and the authorities are in compliance with the activities.
A letter to the effect was sent to the Commander of Leonora Police Station.
