The printing press at the Catholic Standard Limited has broken down. According to the Editor, Colin Smith, the problem is a minor one but it has affected the printing of two issues of the Catholic newspaper. The paper prints weekly.
Smith added that it is hoped that repairs to the press would be carried very shortly since all the required parts have been acquired and a technician is expected to perform the job. He hopes that the paper would be out once more this weekend.
The Catholic Standard is one of Guyana’s oldest newspapers, having started since 1902.
