The Guyana Relief Council (GRC) will be hosting a fundraising Chinese Food Festival today at the New Thriving Restaurant from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
This is the first fundraising event for this year. The proceeds will go towards sustaining the work of the Council to provide material assistance to persons throughout Guyana who are affected by fires and other disasters.
Funding for the work of the Council is derived from donations from local and overseas supporters, fundraising initiatives, and a monthly subvention from Government.
Some of the relief given to vulnerable includes foodstuff, monetary donation for building materials, temporary shelter, welfare assistance and counseling.
The GRC was established on January 17, 1994 as a non-governmental organisation and has since touched the lives of many.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
