Shihan Michael Cromwell and Shihan Oleyumi Mashama have been appointed head of the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation Sport Karate Commission (TTKF-SKC). They will be meeting with other sport karate clubs to set standards and policies for this branch of TTKF. They both have advanced degrees in their respective styles and are very respected in the national and international martial arts community.
Clubs that wish to contribute may call Shihan Cromwell at 727-3669. To promote TTKF-SKC, TTKF is now the official rep for the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA), the largest group of this kind in the World.
Meanwhile, the members of the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) have confirmed the members of their Technical Council (TTKF-TC).
They are Anthony Parris, 7th Dan, Darryl Williams, Lex Springer, Wayne Gill, (all 6th Dan’s) and Maureen Springer. All members are also examiners. TTKF-TC set the standards for technical advancement for the organization.
Wayne Gill who has been practicing for over forty-years is also TTKF rep for South Trinidad and Tobago. Sensei Parris and Sensei Williams are head of Shotokan and Shito-Ryu karate for TTKF.
