Group 2B driver Afraz Allie has been named in a strong contingent of local drivers and riders who will travel to Jamaica to represent Guyana at the first leg of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship which is slated to be staged on May 23, at Dover Speedway.
Allie, who represented Guyana, last year at Bushy Park in Barbados is a very experienced driver, but will be racing at the Jamaica Circuit for the first time and could find it a very different proposition, having had no prior experience of the Course.
However, Allie has been a consistent performer over the years and if allowed to get in some valuable practice before race day has the ability to make the necessary adjustments and make Guyana proud.
A past Drag champion, Allie’s Toyota Starlet looked in impeccable condition just before being shipped and word is that much is expected from the local speedster in Reggae Land.
