Promoter Arthur Cross in conjunction with Pressure Point Dominos Team are promising an exhilarating time on Sunday when they bring off a 21 team one-day Twenty20 domino competition, dubbed ‘Clash of the Sawakis.’
The venue is Rockies Brazilian Sports Bar located in Light Street, Bourda opposite Nigel’s Supermarket.
Cross indicated that a number of top teams have already signaled their intentions to compete in the tournament which has at stake a top prize of $150,000; second prize of $75,000 with $30,000 going to the third place team.
A number of individual prizes are also up for grabs; the player to share the first double love will be rewarded with $5,000, while the player registering the first double love in the final will collect $10,000.
The first eight teams to register will each receive one pack of Carib dominos while there will be other giveaways on the day. An entrance fee of $10,000 will be charged with double six time set at 14:00hrs.
Among the teams already signaling their intentions to take part are Strikers, Next Level, Rockie’s Massive, A&J Carpet, Wild Bunch, Turning Point, Sanjay’s Six, RAGE, International 6, Blue Birds, One Love, TNT, UFO, F&H Supremes, Prividence, Mambo Bar, Specialist and Sixth Street Warriors.
To date a number of Corporate entities are on board including Banks DIH Ltd., Ansa Mc al Trading, Tony’s Auto Spares, Mark’s Interior Communications, RRT Enterprise, DaSilva’s Optical, Hot & Spicy Creole Corner and Sanjay’s Jewelry.
