The police are currently conducting investigations into a shooting incident at ‘B’ Field Sophia, during which Colin Shaw, 42, was shot in the left leg on Wednesday night.
According to a police release, Shaw was seen acting in a suspicious manner.
It was further stated that as the police were about to conduct a search of his person, Shaw attacked one of the lawmen with an ice pick. The rank then resorted to the use of force and he (Shaw) was shot to his left foot.
A quantity of cannabis sativa was found on Shaw who has been admitted, and is in a stable condition at the GPHC. The suspect is under guard
Subsequent investigations revealed that Colin Shaw was wanted for questioning in relation to several break and enter and larceny offences in the Sophia area.
