Will broadcast remainder of the Pakistan series
Kaieteur News’ Journalist Sean Devers has been selected on the Andrew Mason-led Line and Length Regional Radio broadcast team for the remainder of the Digicel home series between West Indies and Pakistan.
Devers will be a part of the ball-by-ball commentary team describing the action in the 3rd and 4th ODI games in Barbados on Thursday and Monday before he returns to his homeland Guyana for the May 5 final ODI and the first Test which is scheduled to commence on May 12. The former Guyana youth team off-spinner will also be on the commentary team for the 2nd Test of the 2-Test series from May 20-24 in St Kitts.
The Guyanese made his Test debut as a radio commentator for the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) in 2001 when West Indies played South Africa.
He covered the last two Test series in the Caribbean (West Indies vs Sri Lanka in 2009 & South Africa last year) for the BBC World Service after joining ‘Reds’ Perreira as the only Guyanese to commentary in a World Cup semi-final when he teamed up with Fazeer Mohamed and Australia’s Jim Maxwell for the Australia/South Africa clash in St Lucia during the 2007 World Cup.
Devers, who covered Guyana’s matches in the last Champions League T20 tournament in South Africa last year for CMC and the Kaieteur News, will also cover the remainder of the Pakistan series for the Kaieteur News, Guyana’s leading newspaper.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
