The skeletal remains were found in a cattle pasture south of the public road. Someone called the police about a strange sight and smell emanating from the pasture. The cops immediately raced to the scene only to be confronted by the remains.
According to reports Budnarine, who lived alone, was an alcoholic and was also said to be an epileptic who also suffered from Asthma. He was known around the area to do odd jobs.
The body was identified by his sister, Lalita Budnarine, around 12: 45 hr on Friday.
The woman told investigators that the last time she saw her brother was over three months ago when he told her that he was heading to Bartica.
She said that she never reported the matter since she stated that it was normal custom for him to go away for long periods.
She was able to identify the remains by a blue hard pants and a white long sleeve jersey he was wearing.
An identification card and the dead man’s passport were also found by his side.
