Guyana is a strange country. Everything dearer than anywhere else. A car in de States gun cost US$10,000 but when it meet Guyana it cost US$40,000. Dem boys seh that de excuse is de duty.
De same thing does happen when people buy old car in de States.
De car old and actually giving away but when it meet Guyana is couple million dollars. Well is now dem boys understand de laptop problem.
De government tek into consideration that things from de States does get dear when dem come to Guyana. People know that fridge and stove and washing machine does cost two and three times more than in de States wheh de people wukking fuh more money that Guyana.
A koker would cost $2 million in any other country but in Guyana it cost $200 million. De excuse is that is Guyana. A road that would cost $5 million anywhere else in de world does cost $500 million in Guyana.
When people come back to Guyana dem and all does get dear De excuse don’t cost dem nutten because dem done tek de money to compensate. And dem does lie. Dem boys seh that some of dem does tell bareface lie. Kwame claim how Office of de President don’t manage a blog but de same people who deny send people fuh tek out Uncle Adam house.
Dem, boys smile when de house end up pun de same blog. And dem talk bout de laptop that cost suh much in Guyana but much cheaper in other country. Is only in Guyana laptop does get more dear. In other country it does get cheaper every year because newer models does come out.
