Group 4 competitor Rupie Shewjattan poses next to his recently acquired Mitsubishi Evolution V in front of @uto Fashion on Wednesday afternoon following the launch.
More excitement had been added to the much talked about Group 4 category with the announcement that former Group 2B champion Rupie Shewjattan is making a return to the sport after a two-year hiatus.
Shewjattan, who recently bought Jamaican and former Caribbean champion Doug ‘Hollywood’ Gore’s Mitsubishi Evolution V car, in an interview with this newspaper following the launching of his new machine said that it is ready and he is excited to win back his fans after a forced layoff from the sport. “I feel good with this car because I know it will be very competitive and we’ll be challenging the ‘big’ boys,” Shewjattan confidently expressed.
He added that if everything goes well he will be representing Guyana at the Caribbean Series this year, assertively proclaiming that they will retain the crown.
He extended thanks to his sponsors Buddy’s Housing Development, @uto’s Fashion and Interstate Batteries.
