In light of recent criticisms by the media as to the “secretive nature” of specifications of contracts being undertaken, the government has finally decided that it will make available to the media for inspection, all bid documents for proposed projects.
The bid documents contain the specifications and performance requirements among other critical information.
Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon had told media operatives recently that persons interested in the specifications of works to be undertaken by the government, other than those tendering for the projects, will still have to purchase the bid documents.
