Dear Editor,
As I listen to the news, read the papers and engage in conservation as we gear for regional and national elections later in the year, I am very concerned that many of our citizens are being misled by four of the PNCR’s Presidential candidates.
I have so far followed the PNCR race with great attention and immense interest. It is clear that currently Guyana’s biggest problem is the continued hike in crime and the only PNCR candidate who has demonstrated without a doubt that he has the capacity to tackle crime, including the criminals in higher office is David A. Granger who has the capacity and the experience.
I agree that Carl Greenidge has done a lot to help build this nation as an extremely good Economist, but that was then, this is now. The world has since moved into the 21st Century, what can Greenidge do for us now?
We are also aware that he is the Winston Murray replacement in that so called faction of the party that has in the past worked extremely hard to destroy what many dub as the “Corbin Faction”. Who needs that drama a second time around?
I hope that good sense prevails at Sophia on Saturday 26th February and David Granger is elected because I am sure that he will be the next President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.
Kimberly Ann Bailey
