The Bounty Farm Limited Mash Handicap Squash Tournament continued Saturday night at the Georgetown Club courts and the highlight of the night featured top seed Regan Pollard and Joshua Abdool showcasing some brilliant squash.
Abdool secured some early points, pressuring Pollard and he eventually took the first game 15/-8. The second game showed Pollard playing aggressive squash while Abdool continued his intelligent game, which came down to a sudden death end where Pollard came out on top winning 15-14.
The third game was extremely intense with both Pollard and Abdool fighting for victory, Abdool’s fitness seemed to keep him in the game and he eventually got the better of Pollard with his much improved squash, taking the third game 15-1.
Additionally Brendon Mounter and Jason-Ray Khalil have earned their spots in the Mash Bounty Handicap Final, Khalil showed tight rope focus as he managed to return from a -14 deficit to clinch his chance for gold against Allan Downes, whilst the Veteran showed the true value of experience as he shut down the hungry Deje Dias with an effective slow game to close down the youngsters superior speed and energy.
The two victors were set to play off yesterday which promised to be an epic grudge match.
