– Entire episode caught on camera
The Nismes gas station, for the fourth time, was attacked by gunmen Tuesday night, but this time the entire robbery was caught on camera. The police are currently looking for three known suspects.
Operations manager Anu Lall, yesterday, told Kaieteur News that the bandits pounced on the pump attendant around 22:30 on Tuesday night.
Lall told Kaieteur News that Vicky Harrikissoon and Alicia Singh were the only two pump attendants working at the time of the robbery.
This newspaper was told that Harrikissoon was at a table when the bandits came from behind.
The three men demanded that the attendant hand over his valuables. The man also handed over $150,000 that represented a payment, which the company had just received from a customer.
“We don’t usually keep large amounts of cash after the third robbery…It’s only because the customer paid us that the bandits managed to get that money”.
Lall said that police arrived promptly but the bandits had already escaped. Meanwhile police sources yesterday said that they are looking for a few suspects.
