As investigations into the death of interdicted police Detective Constable Igris Bobb-Blackman continue, the police have issued a wanted bulletin for Sven Niles who they suspect could be vital to their case.
Niles is believed to be one of the men who was seen in the house where Blackman was killed, mere hours before his body was discovered.
Blackman’s body was found in a septic tank at his residence at Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, last week Thursday.
His reputed wife, 58-year-old Desiree Jeffers has since been charged and remanded to prison for his murder.
Kaieteur News understands that police had arrested Niles’ reputed wife and her son at their Princes Street, Georgetown home earlier this week. However, they were subsequently released.
Niles, a carpenter, is 38 years old, of African descent, dark in complexion and is medium built.
His last known address is lot 44 Princes Street, Georgetown.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Sven Niles is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 268-2298, 268-2343, 268-2222, 226-1326, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station.
The Police Force is assuring that all information will be treated with strict confidence.
