In keeping with its expansion drive, the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry is increasing its asset base in the attractive location of Lethem near the Guyana/Brazil border.
This follows the opening of their sprawling headquarters in Kingston last year, and the Diamond, East Bank Demerara branch a few months later.
The bank already has a branch in the border community but intends to enhance the architecture of their asset there in keeping with the principle of introducing banking with a modern touch.
On Saturday last, the sod was turned at the site for the new Lethem Branch. In attendance were the Bank’s Managing Director and other officials, including Regional Chairman, Region Nine, Clarendo Lucas.
