These past few weeks Robeson was busy bulldozing things. And that is because he graduate from using de hammer. De man clear everything and he moving to clear more.
Dem boys seh that he tackle Big Market and he clear out de place. People who use to sell everything got to find somewhere else. Even dem who use to snatch things and run to Big Market wheh nobody coulda ketch dem vex because dem runnings cut.
Imagine dem had vendors by de Big Market who never see anything, even if it happen in front of dem. De only thing dem use to see was de money people pay dem and de change dem had to mek.
La Penitence Market vendors bracing fuh Robeson like when Robert tell de nation to brace fuh rain and heavy flooding. De only difference is that Robeson coming.
Well dem boys seh that he picking pon everything except wha he got to pick pon. Dem seh that it have a big tree in de middle of de road at Mahaicony. That tree split de road suh that traffic got to drive around.
When contractors was mekking de road dem refuse to cut de tree. Dem boys seh that dem frighten jumbie or Dutch man or something. Dem hear that when people try to cut de tree some of dem dead.
Anyhow, that tree is more obstacle that dem market vendors and it deh pun Robeson property. Dem boys seh that he must cut it. De old one fall down and a new one spring up and Robeson still ain’t cutting or bulldozing it.
That tree got to move and dem boys want Robeson move it. But he playing blind. People now saying that Tom drunk but Tom ain’t stupid. Robeson playing bad but he can’t call heself a bad man until he cut down that tree.
Talk half. Lef half.
