An unlicensed 12 gauge single-barrel shotgun with two matching cartridges and 44.5 kilograms of dried cannabis sativa (marijuana) were found during a police drug eradication operation at Swan, Soesdyke/Linden Highway Saturday.
According to a release from the police, a field of about one acre in size with marijuana plants between four feet and eight feet in height and a nursery containing over 500 seedlings were found and destroyed.
Three men and two females have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
