Organisers of the Namilco Football Festival wishes to inform football fans that the finals of this year’s tournament will be hosted next Tuesday, at the Tucville ground, beginning at 18:00 hrs.
In the feature encounter which commences at 20:00hrs Alpha United takes on Santos FC and that game will be preceded by the third place playoff between Fruta Conquerors and Camptown FC.
According to a release from the Organisers, proceeds from the tournament goes towards the continued development of the Tucville ground.
Meanwhile, Fruta Conquerors executive would like to extend thanks to the following entities for their support towards the tournament and they are: National Milling Company of Guyana {NAMILCO}, Banks DIH Limited, GT&T, Global Technology, 2J’s General Store Regent Street, Junior Jewellery of Robb Street, Bayridge Taxi Service and Oasis Water Company.
The winning team of this tournament will pocket $ 500,000, 2nd place $ 200,000, 3rd place $100,000 and 4th place $ 50,000.
Other incentives: Two Computer Scholarships – Global Technology, Highest Goal Scorer one Gold Chain – Juniors Jewellery Robb Street, MVP cash incentive – 2J’s General Store, Best Goal Keeper One Cell Phone and 5,000 credit – Bayridge Taxi Service.
