It could have been catastrophic had the children been in school, but thankfully it was earlier than the usual commencement of classes at the Rose Hall Town Nursery School.
At around 07:40 hours yesterday, a vehicle reportedly driven by a police officer crashed into the building resulting in damage to the walls and some furniture in the children’s play area.
Reports reaching this newspaper stated that the vehicle, which was proceeding at a fast rate, was heading to the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost when the driver lost control and crashed into the Nursery School next door. Angry residents converged on the scene and lamented what might have been had students arrived for classes.
It is understood that one man, who was not far from the school when the incident occurred, received slight injuries.
