All the outstanding performers in this year’s Pegasus Open Tennis Championships received their prizes yesterday during a simple presentation ceremony that was conducted on the Hotel Hardcourts.
Those collecting prizes were : Girls 14 and under Singles – winner- Aretta Dey, runner-up Africa Gentle; Boys 14 and under- winner- Khalid Gobin, runner-up- Benedict Sukra; Girls 18 and under Singles- winner- Krystal Sukra, runner-up- Nicola Ramdyhan; Boys 18 and under- winner- Gavin Lewis, runner-up- Daniel Lopes; Men’s 55 and over Doubles- winners- Bobby Khan / Omar Persaud, runner-up- Maxie Fox / Steve Surujbally; Men’s 45 and over Doubles- winners- Omar Persaud / Godfrey Lowden, runners-up Harry Panday / Victor DaSilva; Men’s 35 and over Doubles- winners- Omar Persaud / Godfrey Lowden, runners-up- Don Singh / Sanjeev Datadin; Men’s Doubles Open- winners- Phillip Squires / G. Lowden, runners-up- Andy Goveia / Ezra Sue-Ho; Mixed Doubles- winners- Jeremy Miller / Shelly Daly-Ramdyhan, runners-up- A. Goveia / K. Sukra; Men’s 45 and over Singles- winner- Harry Panday, runner-up- Stephen David Longe; Men’s 35 and over Singles- winner- D. Singh, runner-up- Gilbert Barckoy; Ladies 30 and over- winner- Carol Humphrey, runner-up- Norma Skeath; Ladies Open Singles- winner- C. Humphrey, runner-up- K. Sukra and Men’s Open Singles- winner- J. Miller, runner-up- P. Squires.
Meanwhile, General Manager of Pegasus Hotel Rajat Chhabra assisted in the presentation of prizes.
