New Jersey, US- Two US-based Guyanese are in a New Jersey jail accused of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in October.
The victim is said to be a close relative of Sydney Drakes, 58, and Royan Davis, 42, both of whom are resident in New Jersey.
Both are being held at the Essex County Jail on $90,000 bond each.
According to jail records, Davis and Drakes allegedly committed the offence on the child between October 22 and October 23, 2010.
Both are facing charges relating to the endangerment of welfare of a child.
The two men were arrested following complaints of the mother to the police in a case that shocked the neighbourhood because of the closeness of the two men to the four-year-old.
Drakes is said to be a grandfather.
