Fourth prize included in cash & kind package
New GPC Inc. yesterday committed to a Two Million Guyana dollars package towards the successful staging of the 21st Kashif & Shanghai Football Extravaganza.

Marketing Manager Trevor Bassoo handed over a cheque to the organisers and noted that their contribution will be in cash and kind while stating that the 4th place prize of 250,000 cash and a trophy are also covered in the package.
Bassoo informed that this was not the first year New GPC is on board and they are very impressed with the tournament.
“New GPC is pleased to be a major in this annual tournament, hence our contribution to the value of two million dollars. We’ve always contributed to sports and football in general, since we believe that sport’s is an important aspect of our lives keeping us active.
Other than being active and keeping us healthy, we know that sports keep us occupied and in this time and age, you people in particular needs to be occupied and out of trouble.”
Bassoo commended the K&S Organisation for their initiative and continued dedication towards making the tournament the best in Guyana.
Responding on behalf of the organisers, Kashif Muhammad thanked New GPC for being on board for the 3rd consecutive year noting that they have been very generous this time around.
“We are very grateful and I suppose it is because they have been seeing our growth and development over the years and we are very thankful. We just hope that it gets better and better in the coming years ahead.”
The annual K&S tournament is set to kick off on Sunday December 12 at the National Stadium, Providence with the official March Past of the 18 teams who will be vying for the crown including defending champs, BK International Western Tigers.
The Golden Jaguars will oppose Brazil’s Atletico Roraima in the feature game of the evening with the National Under-20 side opposing an Under-23 combination from Upper Demerara.
